The members of SEITS are very active in SkyWarn and ARES in the eastern Iowa/ western Illinois/ northeastern Missouri area. It is only natural then that we get some links to weather related sites in here.

Local Conditions in SEITS VRS Linked Repeater cities!

Current Severe Watches and Warnigs by state from Texas A&M. Thanks to Jack Barnes, N0YWF for the heads up on this site.

Accuweather has a GREAT site. You get your local weather based on your zip code or location. Includes current conditions, radar updates, and NWS forecasts.

Intellicast has been totally redesigned. They have a section now called Local Weather which is your starting point for US weather. There are several different areas including radars, satellite imagery, surface maps, and much more.

National Weather Service - Des Moines has coverage of the central section of the state of Iowa.

National Weather Service - Davenport and the Quad Cities has coverage for the eastern part of Iowa and the western part of Illinois.

Weather Underground is a good source of local weather conditions also.

KGAN-TV in Cedar Rapids has many local radars available including national Doppler. Nice option includes radar updates every 15 minutes.

KCCI-TV in Des Moines offers their Super Doppler Radar with promised updates every 5 minutes.>/li>
